Yall, we’re now more than a quarter through the year.

WHAT!?

This week parts of my state have experienced snow and sunny, warm weather. Even the seasons are a bit confused. We’re making good progress, but there’s goodness to come!

My PowerSheets (the goal planner I use daily and share each month right here) help me to stay intentional even when life gets crazy. I love sharing my progress with you and hearing about what’s going on in your world! ❀

Monthly Action Items

  • Well Watered Women Flourish Study (adding here if you’d like to join me!): This study is gorgeous and I’m really enjoying it. I’m learning more about familiar verses of scripture and also digging into ones that are newer to me. The Bible is a source full of love and truth, but it can be intimidating to know where to begin or how to use it. A study is a great way to be guided through the Word. The more I study and learn, the more it soaks into my heart and shapes me.
  • Learn Pinterest for blog growth: Lets move it to the next month one more time… πŸ™‚
  • Add $3,000 to house savings: We didn’t add the full amount, but we did make progress. So that’s a win!
  • Make selections for new home: We’ve officially finalized our design selections so YAY!!! Each step it becomes a bit more real. I’ll be diving into our home building process in its own series, so stay tuned.
  • Become expert on new community – Legacy: I use the term “expert” loosely here since there’s always more to learn. But I have learned a lot about the community I’m selling in and feel self-sufficient. That’s always a good feeling.
  • 4 sales: Mission accomplished! I’ve determined a new goal based on an event I attended recently, so this growth and teamwork will help me reach it!

Sabbath is not a new idea to me, but it’s definitely a new practice. If you remember, my Word of the Year is Rest. You can read more about that here. It sounds simple, but it’s challenging for me to actually do. I like to keep moving and if you couldn’t tell, I’m pretty goal/task oriented. So rest doesn’t fit in well there.

But it’s required. And I’m called to it. My heart needs to shift and allow rest to fill the spaces of my life instead of more things or tasks on a to-do list. It needs to fill the space that I’ve created just for it.

Sabbath is a day for stopping. Sabbath is a day for delighting in God. Sabbath is a day for trusting God because He can totally handle it. I’m not that important that I must be involved in all the things. The world will keep spinning, I’m sure of it.

It’s a practice, though, which means I won’t be perfect at it from the start. Or maybe ever. But each practice gets a little less clunky. I’ll learn more about the rhythm and what I need in that season. I’m asking God to transform my heart into one that craves stillness in Him.

Nourishing my body means I’m treating it well. I’m getting enough sleep. I’m keeping it hydrated. I’m exercising. I’m eating healthy foods. I do mostly okay with that – I’ve definitely come so far in all those areas. I used to treat my body like it was indestructible in college. Although it’s resilient and strong, I don’t want to challenge it unnecessarily. Plus I just feel better inside out when I’m taking good care of myself.

My biggest struggle still lingers: sugar. I have a huge sweet tooth that only gets worse because I keep feeding it. But I crave it, so I feed it. You might recognize the frustrating cycle…

If you have any tips or encouragement for me, I’d love to hear! I don’t want to feel controlled by my cravings. Maybe another round of Whole30 would do me good.

I’m so thrilled spring is here. The weather still has some catching up to do, but the plants are coming back to life and bumble bees are buzzing. I just feel more alive when nature is alive and well too.

Have you taken some time to think about and write down your goals? If not, set a timer for 10 minutes and do that now. It doesn’t take long to be intentional, it just takes focused effort. You have amazing things to make happen, friend!
