Hello and welcome to the beginning of November.

It’s also the official start of the holiday season. Now is when time flips to turbo speed and it’s January 1st before we know it! Despite all the crazy, this is my favorite time of year.

Halloween (yesterday!) was 80 degrees and muggy. This morning was freezing and there’s been a nice chill in the air even in the middle of the afternoon. It’s feeling cozy and my motivation is rising…

That may also be due to the recent launch of the 2020 PowerSheets. I’m looking forward to cuddling up and figuring out what I want to go after in the new year. For now, lets finish this one strong!

October Progress

Monthly Action Items

  • Tackle house/moving items: Done! Well the list isn’t done, but we’ve done as much as we can at this point! It’s a lot of “hurry up and wait…” it will be worth it though!
  • Gender Reveal! This was my favorite memory in October! It was so special to find out with our families. We’re excited for this sweet baby, but the reveal made it even more real! If you missed it, you can read my post all about our baby’s gender reveal here.
  • Save $4,000: We were able to go beyond our goal! It’s the best feeling to have a healthy savings account, especially when those unexpected costs pop up (which has happened). We do know what it feels like to be in debt and live on less – we’re grateful to be where we are now. If you’re interested in learning more about our financial journey you can read a few posts here and here.
  • Match/exceed Sept 2019 blog views: Done! I exceeded last month’s views – thank you so much for being here! This goal was made possible by you. I can tell from views people are very interested in our pregnancy journey, which is great because I love sharing about it! Are there any other topics you’re interested in reading here?

Weekly Action Items

  • Connect with Eric – Achieved 4/5 weeks
  • Unplug on days off – Achieved 4/5 weeks
  • Fitbit goals – Achieved 5/5 weeks

Living a healthy life is important to me. It’s become an even bigger priority since becoming pregnant since it affects not only me, but also my unborn baby. I use my Fitbit to help remind me of my goals and keep me on track. The three areas I’m focusing on most are: sleep, steps, and water. I have goals set for each and I feel my best when I’m hitting those goals. I also know baby is happiest because I’m rested, active, and hydrated.

I don’t hit all three goals every single day and I give myself grace for that. I know I can only do my best and each day has different challenges.

Daily Action Items

  • Word before world – Achieved 28/31 days
  • Journal – Achieved 13/31 days
  • Read – Achieved 24/31 days
  • Train with Stella – Achieved 27/31 days

Sometimes things aren’t meant for a certain season. In this case, that’s journaling for me. I love journaling and writing. I think it’s beneficial for me and is something I generally want to do.

But in this season, journaling has become a chore. It has become an item to just check off my list. That doesn’t feel very beneficial. So for now, journaling is off the list. That doesn’t mean I won’t do it at all (although many days I probably won’t), but it’ll take the pressure off that I have to do it.

The most important part of setting goals is to be real and honest with yourself about what you need. Sometimes this will mean pushing yourself a bit farther. Sometimes this will mean taking something off. Your goals don’t have to look like anyone else’s because your needs and next steps are likely different from the next person.

I used to put some goals on my tending list because I felt like I should. They were items other people had on theirs or they just sounded good. Or it was an item that I strived for, but just wouldn’t work right now. That’s okay. The only person your goals need to be right for is you.

There are two months remaining in the year – in the DECADE! I encourage you to take some time to reflect and set your intentions. That sounds a bit woo-woo, but it doesn’t have to be.

What worked well this year? What didn’t?
What do you want more of in your life?
What do you want to change?
Where do you want to be when you’re 80 years old?

I understand these can be challenging questions to answer. If you need guidance, set your intentions with me in your own set of PowerSheets. 2020 is going to be your best year yet!
